About Take The Leap Project
Take the Leap is a funded project by Erasmus + Programme (KA2 - Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices) for the period of 09/2019 to 08/2021.
The Project was initiated and is coordinated by by Diversity Living Services (DLS).DLS is UK registered Company and charity was set up to promote diversity and inclusion. Among their objectives is to create opportunities for young people who might otherwise feel excluded from the world of business.

This underpins everything we do at Take the Leap Project. The world of business is an extremely unequal playing field. If you come from the wrong background you’ll find a number of barriers standing in your way. By offering training and support we aim to level things up.
The project implemented by 5 Partners: Diversity Living Services, Mobilizing Expertise (Sweden), Eprojectconsult (Italy),NGO Ritineitis (Latvia) and Association For Citizens Tolerance And Cooperation Prilep (The Republic of North Macedonia).

The rationale to initiate this project was that entrepreneurship offers a way to develop a sustainable economy, promote growth and reduce unemployment. However, many people feel excluded. Take the Leap Projectaims to offer young people of all backgrounds the support they need to build successful careers as entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurship offers a solution which can create jobs, improve social mobility and enhance the prospects of the next generation. In a world which is becoming more connected and reliant on digital, there is a host of opportunities for enterprising start ups. Europe’s future may depend on the extent to which it allows the next generation to embrace those opportunities.
Erasmus+ Programme is one of a number of projects which recognises the growing need to focus on the next generation of entrepreneurs.
The landscape is even more difficult for entrepreneurs from disadvantaged backgrounds. It is harder to secure capital, get support and get new business. Overcoming these barriers could unlock growth, reduce youth unemployment and combat inequality.
New businesses are launching faster than ever. More of those entrepreneurs are young. Almost half of people under the age of 35 want to start businesses in the future. However, these entrepreneurs face a challenging environment. Around 60% of new businesses fail within the first three years. Most successful entrepreneurs will have failed at least once during their careers.
Take the Leap Project focuses on delivering education and will run across five countries, including the UK. Its goal is to encourage innovation and opportunity among young people. It provides new or aspiring entrepreneurs the chance to learn from successful entrepreneurs.
It helps young people learn from others and develop the skills they need to build a successful and thriving business. As well as gaining valuable experience, the program also helps people develop a network of contacts which can expand the horizon of their enterprises.
As part of this the outcome of the expected outcome of the project online entrepreneurship training course. It will be delivered in print as PDFs, on power points and online video.
